2021 Halloween & Party Expo pivots to virtual event

Halloween & Party Expo‘s (HPE) website posted an update on the status of the 2021 event. According to the notice posted, the event “scheduled to take place Jan. 22-24, 2021 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas in Dallas, Texas as well as the co-located HAuNTcon event will now pivot to a virtual event for the Halloween, party, celebration and haunt community.”

“This has been a difficult decision but we continue to put the health, safety and wellbeing of our team, customers, partners, family and friends above all other priorities and those values remain most important to us. In light of both governmental direction and general public health advisories a face-to-face event will not be possible with the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the government issued State of Disaster in Texas,” noted the letter from Marni Golden Vinci, show director for HPE, Clarion Events Association, and Michele Buggy, executive director for Halloween & Costume.

“We have been talking with retailers and exhibitors over the past few months and we know the impact COVID-19 has had on our communities and your business, however we always return to the strong, future-proof tradition of Halloween and the joy and celebration it brings,” noted Vinci and Buggy. “With your feedback, the team at the Halloween & Party Expo and the Halloween & Costume Association are excited to build a new virtual opportunity that provides you with the resources you need for a successful 2021 season – including the ability to discover new products, connect with fellow retailers and new exhibitors, and find business best practices and the tools you need to stand out from your competition.”

HPE plans to announce details in the coming months on the virtual event as well as updates on the 2022 edition. To read the full update, visit www.halloweenpartyexpo.com/update-2021-halloween-party-expo.
